No Enlightenment apart from the Light of the World // Hebrews 13:8

Hebrews 13:8 (NLT) |?Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Jesus is the same even as the times change. We are living through a cultural revolution where empathy for others can cause us to want to stray from God’s word, will, and way. I think it was Pastor Francis Chan who said that if I disagree with the Bible, then I must assume I am wrong. This is not the tactic of the world, though. Our perverse culture is working overtime to tell us that the ways of Christ are backwards, outdated, and bigoted…that we are far more enlightened apart from the Light of the World. That is dangerous, my friends. God is good, sin is not, and hell is hot. Jesus offers us the necessary forgiveness to turn away from our worn-out, burned-out way of living so we can embrace the future He died and rose to secure for us. So, trust in the eternal love of God, the forever forgiveness given by Jesus, and the power to continue in God’s way by the Holy Spirit.
