Beginning December 5, the magic of the season officially begins with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. Over 3,000 square meters of sparkling blue and gold fairy lights will light the way to the porte-cochère and elaborately-decorated Lobby and Hotel Garden where the evening festivities begin. Not to miss, while on the way, will be a small animal kingdom-like setup on the roundabout featuring golden, glass fiber statues of lions, elephants, flamingos, and crocodiles. Once inside, families can gather over a warm cup of hot cocoa and cider, along with gingerbread cookies, while listening to the Christmas choir and waiting for the most important visitor of the year: Santa Claus.
Every day throughout the month, guests can also enjoy unique dining experiences at the resort’s award-winning restaurants. Always a fun afternoon affair, the Festive Afternoon Tea will surely excite once again with a delicious range of mini-tea pastries and sandwiches at the Lobby or Ritz Gourmet lounges’, daily from 3-5 pm. Gourmet takeaways will also be available for purchase, including a selection of hampers and desserts perfect to accompany holiday gatherings as well as take-away roasted turkey and beef family-style meals starting at BHD 119 for up to 6 persons. And because it’s the holidays, leave the cooking to us with Festive menus running daily at La Med, Nirvana, La Table Krug by Y, Cantina Kahlo, Primavera and Plums. Guests can also pick up the Savour Passport card to be rewarded with a BHD 20 voucher to redeem on their 6th visit.
Over at the Ritz Kids Clubhouse, little ones can get all-sugared up with fun gingerbread decorating classes throughout the month, along with a special Winter Camp, running December 17-30. While the little ones are at play, Moms and Dads can also enjoy their own self-indulgence with “12 Days of Spa” offers running December 14-25.
