Based on my experience, clinical and biomedical engineers must go beyond technical expertise and embrace formal project management certification to navigate the complexities of today’s healthcare environment. Project management skills enhance communication, resource optimization, and proactive problem-solving, which are essential for delivering safe, compliant, and innovative medical technologies. Incorporating agile methodologies alongside traditional frameworks ensures engineers can adapt quickly to changing requirements, improving project outcomes and ultimately patient care.
