About WDFC

DFCCIL's dedicated freight corridors are expected to provide a significant boost to India's economic growth and development, by improving the transportation of goods, reducing logistics costs, and increasing connectivity across the country. To achieve this goal, DFCCIL has set up two centralized control rooms at Prayagraj and Ahmedabad. The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation (WDFCC) project is a pivotal infrastructure initiative in India aimed at revolutionizing the country's freight transportation system. WDFC spans over 1,500 km, connecting Delhi with Mumbai, and passes through six states. WDFC designed to carry high-density traffic, with faster transit times, improved reliability, and lower unit costs.
