Enhancing Skills in Reading and Paraphrasing: A Memorable Learning Experience

I would like to catch the attention of the reader by sharing my experience about the course facilitator session arranged by our beloved Dr. Parvathi Sivakumar. The session was led by our honored Dr. Reshma R., an assistant professor of English language and literature at the University of Bahrain. On 3 June 2024, Dr. Reshma conducted a session on "Reading and Paraphrasing," a particularly relevant topic in today's world.
The facilitator had a cheerful interaction with the students, discussing various aspects of reading and paraphrasing while providing insightful techniques and strategies to enhance our skills. The session covered the importance of thoroughly understanding the text before attempting to paraphrase, the steps involved in effective paraphrasing, and common mistakes to avoid.
Dr. Reshma also introduced several practical exercises that helped us apply the concepts we learned. We practiced paraphrasing different types of texts, and the facilitator provided valuable feedback on our attempts. This interactive approach made the session both engaging and informative.
Many questions related to reading and paraphrasing were asked, and we students gave relevant answers. The knowledge we gained from this session and its real-life applications were rather unbelievable. I enjoyed the session from beginning to end and found it immensely beneficial for improving my reading and paraphrasing skills. This memorable learning experience is one I will cherish.
