ENHANCING LEARNING THROUGH INTERACTION ASSESSMENT AND DIFFERENTIATION [2024/2025 PRE RESUMPTION WORKSHOP]
The KNOSK N100-a-day Secondary School, Kuje
Nigeria's pay-as-you-can, pay-as-you-go, crowd-funded, private school for children from low income families @ N100/day
At KNOSK N100-A-Day Charity School, we believe that empowering our teachers is key to providing quality education for our students. Recently, we concluded a mind blowing two-day teachers' training sponsored by Ford Foundation. This training is not just a routine; it is a core part of our commitment to equipping educators with the skills and insights needed to make a lasting impact on our students' lives.
The training sessions were designed to address critical areas of modern teaching, including creating positive learning environments, effective student feedback, and innovative grouping strategies. Our goal is to bridge the gaps in literacy and learning among children from low income families and these sessions provided our teachers with practical tools and strategies to make their classrooms more engaging and effective.
While the focus was on learning, we also understand the importance of balance. To keep the energy high, the training included a fun dancing competition, a reminder that a bit of joy can go a long way in a demanding profession. This blend of work and play helps to build a positive and collaborative culture among our staff, which ultimately benefits our students.
Teacher training is more than professional development, it’s about investing in the future of our children. By continuously improving our educators' skills, we are directly impacting the quality of education that our students receive. At KNOSK, we are dedicated to not just teaching but transforming the lives of children from the poorest households, providing them with the education they need to break the cycle of generational poverty.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Ford Foundation for sponsoring this training and to Transcend Education for leading some of the insightful sessions. Their support is invaluable in our mission to make education accessible and effective for all children, regardless of their background.
As we prepare for the new school year, our teachers are equipped with renewed knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm. We are excited to see these new skills in action in the classroom and to continue building a brighter future for our students.?
