The 100-day Campaign on IP rights protection was launched by the Shanghai authorities on 1 August 2019 and focused especially on the CIIE. The city's public security bureau, intellectual property administration and customs authorities were all involved in the campaign
While the fight was in progress against counterfeiting and IP right infringement, the Shanghai People's Procuratorate set up a task force to handle CIIE-related IP violation cases and customs authorities also established a branch to supervise international exhibitions and exhibition items.
The second CIIE is scheduled from 5 to 10 November in Shanghai with an exhibition area of 360,000 square metres, and over 3,000 enterprises from 150 countries and regions are participating.
