GlobalFoundries: Making the Big Moments Sing

We know we just got through talking about how important the moments between milestones are to a successful program, and while that is true, we also know how to make the big moments sing. So we could barely hold our excitement in when we had the opportunity to work with GlobalFoundries on their recent landmark announcement -?receiving $1.5B in planned direct funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce , under the U.S. CHIPS and Science Act, marking them as the first major beneficiary within the program.

Having worked in close partnership with the GF team through significant milestones such as their IPO, the inauguration of new fabs, and global expansions, this announcement was the culmination of years dedicated to honing and sharing their narrative. Over the last three years, our focus has been on elevating GF's profile within the semiconductor industry, highlighting the importance of domestic chip production, and ensuring GF's pivotal role was recognized by key policymakers and stakeholders, leading to a well-deserved share of the investment. Needless to say, we've achieved our mission!

To celebrate this milestone, GF welcomed notables such as representatives of the White House, Commerce Secretary Raimondo, Senate Majority Leader Schumer, and New York Governor Kathy Hochul to their New York facility for the announcement. This event garnered extensive media attention, with hundreds of articles including in top-tier outlets like The New York Times, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Reuters, and AP, further amplified by a wave of social engagement from GF's team members to the highest echelons of government, including the White House and President Biden himself.
