Enhancing Daily Well-Being: Try This Quick Experiment
Tracey Gazel
I help senior leaders and executive teams master resilience, focus, and composure under pressure—unlocking their highest level of clarity, decision-making, and leadership presence in today’s high-stakes business world.
Will you do an experiment with me?
?
Imagine that everything in your life is running perfectly.
?
Your work, your family, your finances, your health, your relationships, and even life in general on the wider scale of politics, world peace, and the economy have all landed in a best-case scenario and are running flawlessly.
?
How would you feel?
?
Pause here.
?
Take a few deep breaths and really imagine it.
?
If everything in life was perfect, how would you feel?
?
…
?
I’m guessing some words are coming to mind such as:
?
Content.
?
Peaceful.
?
Calm,
?
Light.
?
Carefree.
?
Free.
?
At peace.
?
And if that mini experiment brought about good feelings in you, great!
?
That is a good sign.
?
That means that you are capable of feeling and experiencing those good feelings at any time.
?
Even when life isn’t perfect.
?
Here’s the thing –
?
Most people are waiting for life to be without problems so that they can slow down and feel content, peaceful, and calm.
?
However, that day will never arrive where every single aspect of life is running perfectly.
?
That’s simply not the way life works.
?
Life is an ebb and a flow rather than a straight line.
?
However, the secret is, that you can be your best self by being content, peaceful, and calm now, without needing to solve life’s problems as a pre-requisite.

And when you are being your best self first, you become grounded, clear, and composed. You are present and live in the moment. You communicate better in relationships. You enjoy the challenge of work and then easily turn it off at the end of the day to be present and relaxed with your loved ones at home.
?
And as your best self, you are more capable of tackling life’s problems.
?
(Rather than needing to tackle life's problems in order to be your best self!)
?
Can you see the inside out nature of this work?
?
It runs opposite to how we believe life works.
?
To me this is one of the best kept secrets of life:
?
You don’t have to wait for life to be without problems to experience wellbeing.
?
Peace-of-mind, wellbeing, calm and contentment are all available now.
?
To anyone.
?
In contrast, holding onto frustration, agitation, annoyance, upset, or anger because there are parts of life not working well is only going to send you further down the stress hole.
?
The further you go down the stress hole, the more your mental health and physiological health deteriorate.
?
The busier your mind runs.
?
And the more difficult and dissatisfying life feels.
?
So how do we experience wellbeing today?
?
It’s a two-pronged approach of building up your physiological health through optimizing your sleep, morning routine, and daily habits using neuroscience hacks, coupled with learning how to access your clear and calm mind in any situation to be your best self and enjoy life more.
?
Over the years I have been doing this work with clients which has evolved into a process-oriented training called CQ (Calm Quotient) Training:
It's about optimizing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace AND at home.
?
I'm now offering this training in a 1-on-1 format to leaders, as well as in a group format to teams.
?
Because everyone is capable of learning how to access their well-being and resilience, which inturn enhances workplace culture, relationships at home, and overall life satisfaction.
?
Are you interested in learning more about how CQ Training can benefit you, your leaders, or your team?
?
Send me an email at [email protected] and say 'CQ' and I will forward along more information.
?
Have a great week!

8 个月Thank-you Tracey Gazel - I would add that there is a multiplicative effect as well. The better your peace of mind, the better your outlook toward staying positive and in a good place. The opposite is also true when you are negative, dissatisfied, and going down rabbit holes. Happiness is found within. Be Kind. Cheers.
