Enhanced Voice Services: Mobile Virtual Private Network
MVPN, or Mobile Virtual Private Network, allows a telecom operator to seamlessly serve multiple businesses. By integrating all the mobile telephone numbers of a particular business into a common network, MVPN enables a range of advanced features. These features include short dialing, call control, direct connectivity, a private numbering plan, holding branch, hunt groups, and the creation of corporate business groups.
One of the key benefits of MVPN is its IN-based call control functions. These functions are crucial as they allow the use of business cases such as short number dialing and provide control over calls made to a Mobile PBX or Huntgroup service.
With MVPN, telecom operators can offer their clients a more integrated, efficient, and flexible communication solution. Here are some of the key features of MVPN.
?? Call Restriction: Manage call access with configurable blacklists and whitelists.
?? Automatic Callback: Ensure no call goes unanswered with automatic callbacks.
?? Automated Outbound Calling: Deliver important messages with our Outbound Campaign Suite.
?? Team Connect: Simplify audio conferences for better collaboration.
?? Announcement Management: Customize and manage call scenario announcements.
?? Call Screening: Enhance security with caller name recording.
?? Call Monitoring: Observe and manage calls in real-time.

The MVPN solution is composed of several software modules. Each of these modules plays a crucial role in providing the overall service.
The Provisioning Module, which supports both SOAP and REST interfaces, is responsible for managing provisioning activities with the operator's system. It is capable of handling bulk service activations, making it efficient and scalable.
For user interaction, it includes a Web interface. This interface is used by operators, administrators, customer care representatives, corporates, and the holdings. Each role has separate access rights to ensure security and proper management. The Management GUI and the Company Admin GUI run on Apache Tomcat, with the Company Admin GUI being accessible via a proxy server for added security.
The Signaling Stack is vital for handling signaling with the core network over SIGTRAN. It utilizes IN to control calls made by MVPN members to external numbers, ensuring seamless and controlled communication.
The Call Control Module uses the SIP protocol to manage calls. It establishes RTP sessions between Media Servers and MSCs.
The Media Module, specifically the SIEL Media Module, manages RTP sessions for calls made to the MVPN platform. It is capable of executing predefined scenarios, playing announcements, recording calls, and more, enhancing the functionality and user experience.
The Charging Module interacts with the prepaid charging system to facilitate real-time charging. It generates Call Detail Records (CDRs) for each transaction.
