Enhance Your Discipline With 3 Quick Tips

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.
But sometimes it can feel like a daunting task.
I will share with you three quick tips that will help you enhance your discipline and pave your way to being more productive and successful in all your endeavors.

Let us dive in right away; discipline gets its roots from the word disciple -which means to follow.
Which means in simple terms being disciplined is the ability to follow yourself- Follow through what you had set yourself to do or accomplish?
So how do you get yourself to follow yourself?
The first step is to understand what discipline is- the fact of carrying out consistent action in a reliable manner. For that to happen there need to be
1-Connection To Purpose-Motivation-Mission-Emotionally Engage with that goal-
Connect to the reason for action-
1-Clear motives- You will be facing two situations (too nebulous or too granular)
Is the goal or task too big-too lofty? Too nebulous?
If it is -chunk it down- Make it clear concise, simple-
Ask yourself- what would happen if you do not achieve it?
What would be the price of not achieving the goal?
What would be the negative impact?
Now the inverse-Hard reality has been drudgery- day/day- Grinding too much and you need to remind yourself of the bigger picture- the benefits- chunk it up- positive impact to you, your family, your environment your legacy, your organization etc..).
I hope you can see here-it is about finding the right balance on staying engaged, by finding the right balance in the emotional dimension why is that relevant because it will sustain and connect you to the reason for action day in and day out.
Second tip is to
Plan and schedule-You need to add the time element, which will help with grounding- You are bringing it to mental and physical dimension by action.
By allocating time-you are saying it is important, it matter to me-
Which then moves you to execute and to consistency-

Now if you face issue about execution, it means it is an issue with your fire element-
ignite the fire (what will happen if – cost of inaction-
move away or moving toward).?
The third tip is to Party, reward yourself-Celebrate- It will allow you to stay accountable in the future and foster you to stay accountable. This is scientific when you look at high performance and electrophysiology.
When you understand how your brain cells communicate via neurotransmitters you will understand why. And here I don't have a whole time, but for more details, I talked about that in my weekly videos in March 2024 on how to overcome recurring negative thoughts- where I talked about the neural network, how the neuro-transmitter works, and how drugs interfere with the way the neuron send and process signals affect your thoughts and your emotions, and what is your reference when you make decision!
So particularly I talked about the four happy hormones, how to activate those and the top four hormones or neurotransmitters. Let me talk about those quickly. So, if you think about those, you got dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins.
??????????? Dopamine: Known as the “feel-good” hormone, dopamine is a neurotransmitter that is an important part of your brain’s reward system. It is associated with pleasurable sensations, along with learning, memory, and more.
??????????? Serotonin: this hormone and neurotransmitter helps regulate your mood as well as your sleep, appetite, digestion, learning ability, and memory.
??????????? Oxytocin: Often called the love hormone oxytocin is essential for childbirth, breastfeeding, and strong parent-child bonding. It can also help promote trust, empathy, and bonding in relationships. Levels increase with physical affection.
??????????? Endorphins- these hormones are your body’s natural pain reliever, which your body produces in response to stress or discomfort. Levels may also increase when you engage in reward-producing activities such as eating, working out, or having sex.

This third element is rarely practiced but it is important as you can see because adding the reward and social element almost activate all 4 happy hormones.
