To Enhance Biomass Protein Innovation: “Fonterra and Superbrewed Food Forge Partnership”

Superbrewed Food Inc. , a top producer of natural ingredients, and global dairy cooperative Fonterra have partnered in a strategic move to support sustainable food production. Through the combined strengths of Superbrewed's cutting-edge biomass protein platform and Fonterra's vast experience in dairy processing, ingredients, and applications, this partnership seeks to promote the production of nutrient-rich biomass proteins.

The main goal of the partnership is to create useful biomass proteins that will satisfy the increasing need for high-quality, sustainable protein sources on a worldwide scale. The growing customer desire for protein options that are high in nutrients, free of allergens, and genetically modified organisms is the reason for this project. It expands upon Superbrewed's recently released Postbiotic Cultured Protein, a proprietary bacterial biomass protein that the FDA has approved for the US market.

Postbiotic Cultured Protein has good functional and nutritional attributes that enhance typical dairy components in culinary applications, according to Fonterra examination of the product. Acknowledging this mutual benefit, the two businesses have commenced a multi-year partnership to create novel solutions involving biomass proteins. Using Fonterra's lactose permeate, a byproduct of dairy manufacturing, as a feedstock for fermentation is a major goal of this collaborative project. This lactose will be transformed into a premium, sustainable protein using Superbrewed's technology, greatly enhancing Fonterra's dairy business.
