EngMonApp not running

Hi,

Infosphere has a lot of sevices , one of them is engmonapp . It is for engine information of infosphere . When it's not running you can't watch your jobs status , cpu usage , ram usage of information server.

When it''s not running , first check logs of engmonapp;

cd <Infosphere_Home>/IBM/InformationServer/Server/DSODB/logs

Check error logs of EngMonApp service.

EngMonApp.err ;

And log file ;

It says service can not process a file. When we check the file , we can see there is a problem about its ownership.

If you can delete this file , it won't be a problem. But if you cant delete you can restart your server. After restart , you can start EngMonApp service.

cd <Infosphere_Home>/IBM/InformationServer/Server/DSODB/bin

./DSAppWatcher.sh –status EngMonApp

./DSAppWatcher.sh –start EngMonApp

This should fix the problem.
