Engineer's Week 2024 Spotlight: Jeremy Kaufman

How long have you been an engineer and from where did you graduate?

I have been working in the Fire Alarm & Controls Engineering group since I graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2005.?I have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.?

What attracted you to the engineering field??

I have always enjoyed math and problem solving, so it seemed a natural fit.

What do you enjoy most about what work you do? What are you looking forward to in the future? ?

I enjoy working on projects that have a new problem to solve and working through that. I am looking forward to continuing to grow in my knowledge in the Fire Alarm field and to help my team do the same.

What is some advice you would give to someone considering becoming an engineer? ?

Build your skills and knowledge and get as much hands-on experience as you can.
