Anthony Ragghianti, CEM – Project Executive – East Caribbean Region

How long have you been an engineer and from where did you graduate?

I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in May 2008. I have been doing engineering related work ever since, mostly in operations.?

What attracted you to the engineering field?

I was always fascinated with how things work and how they are put together. According to my mother, I took a vacuum cleaner apart when I was 2 years old. I was also much better at math and science than reading and writing.?

What do you enjoy most about what the work you do?

I enjoy solving problems. It is a good feeling when our team can diagnose a problem and implement a solution at the mutual benefit of MSS and the customer.?

What advice would you give to someone considering becoming an engineer?

Get some practical experience prior to graduating. If you want to work in the construction industry, get a summer job in a trade. If you want to design tractors, spend some time on a farm.
