Ending up in the wrong educational field or job position causing unhappiness and lack of productivity. This dilemma is often to happen in all fields, but especially with Engineers.

It's not an easy decision and will come with the pros and cons, but it's necessary to follow your passion and be happy with what you do every day, that will be the ultimate motivation to make you show up and do the work.

If you're an Engineer, then technical is your superpower. So it's very recommended that you should know all the technical points connected to what you do. That will always be your differentiation from everyone plus having a different mindset and approach to business matters that will always be an extraordinary added value to any field you have shifted to.

The reality is that we only live once, so there's no sense in living a lifetime working in a job/field that you are unhappy with because nothing good will ever come from that, besides that always our working life affects our personal lives dramatically.

Nevertheless, sometimes we have to work through our way in order to reach our big goals. We might need to work for experience, development, or even money because that would bring us closer to our big goal of field professionalism, financial freedom, becoming entrepreneurs and opening our own business, pursuing additional studies, traveling, etc...
