What have we been up to?

We started the week by announcing our new partner - DOLD INDUSTRIES LIMITED . Huge thank you to Ian Holland for supporting us!

On Tuesday I caught up with the newly famous Rachael Duckworth to talk about how she's managing her new found fame and how she's dealing with the paparazzi.

I think we spoke about marketing as well... Beckhoff Automation UK Ltd are sponsoring another 6 podcast episodes!!

The podcast was originally a bit of a side quest that I thought would just give us some content but is quickly becoming an interesting way to reach 10's of thousands of viewers. It makes sense for us to raise some funds and it makes sense, for the price, to be able to get your brand in front of so many people.

I travelled all of ten minutes on Wednesday to visit Marc Osborne and Steve Brock at Lutze Ltd. UK to go through the app, our upcoming features and to see if we can support getting Lutze products seen by more engineers.

In the afternoon I met with Ailsa Anderson from Engineering and Manufacturing Network . We'll be exhibiting at the EMCON Engineering & Manufacturing Show on the 12th of September, registration link coming soon. If you're in the Northeast then have a look at the show, it's a great space for you to meet your peers.

We'll also be filming an episode of the podcast with a live audience, for the first time, with our special guest Prof Alan Norbury CEng FIET FIKE , Chief Technologist at 西门子 !

On Thursday I had a quick catch up with Ashleigh Boyce and Taylor Macdonald to run through our plans for our Solihull High School event in a couple of weeks' time. 80 Year 9 & 10's moving between 4 workshops before a Q&A with Sixth Form. The plan: Inspire someone to think about a career in Manufacturing.

In the afternoon I shot over to the BPX Electro Mechanical Co. Ltd headquarters in Leicester to catch up with Guy Collins & Craig Johnstone to go through our next two app features. In particular our "Where to Buy" button, integrating the certified distributors of a product, so the user has a place to get the pricing, put in a basket and get delivered. Helps us close the loop with the manufacturers on analytics and gives another benefit to our users.

To close the week, I had an impromptu meeting with David Mathias from THK GmbH who downloaded the app and messaged the same day to see how THK could get involved. Pretty cool feedback from a new user.
