Engineers Insight Newsletter #16
Week 16 - Sacrifices.
I thought this week it would be fitting to talk about how we started and the sacrifices we've made to get this far.

??? Our Podcast is now LIVE.
To all the passionate engineers, future leaders and the next generation of our industry: I'm thrilled to introduce our brand new podcast: Through the Eye.
This podcast aims to bridge the gap between industry leaders and the next generation, shedding light on how they joined Manufacturing, the challenges they've faced, and my favourite question - "Do you attribute your success to hard work or luck?".
You can watch the full episode here or go to spotify and listen along.
Episode 1 - "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." A huge thank you to our first guest, Sarah Black-Smith from Siemens for giving an honest insight into her career and how she inspires the people around her.
What have we been up to?
On Monday, I met the Advanced Engineering UK team in Birmingham and a group of exhibitors. I had an opportunity on stage to share about our collaboration with AE and how the platform works.
The highlight? Discovering that we topped the list with the most "we want to learn more" clicks during the registration process. I initially guessed a modest 20, but a staggering 730 people were eager to engage with us!
Now, I'm pondering over how best to email such a large number without landing in the spam folder. ??
On Tuesday, I had a chat with Jasmine Aldous about how Engineers Insight can assist 西门子 staff and nurture the next batch of engineers.

I also had a call from Geraldine Penney to discuss how her company could bring benefits to our users, especially industry contractors in Ireland. If that's you then you should definitely connect. Keep your eyes on this one, we're always looking for ways to bring value to our app users.
The remainder of the week has been a whirlwind. This brings me to the theme of "sacrifice".
Eighteen months ago, I persuaded my (now) wife to pursue this startup vision, leading us to rent out our home and move in with my parents — all just a few months before our wedding.
As our tenant recently moved out, we're now tasked with refurbishing, not to mention prepping for our firstborn due this November. Today, we're moving back in, so I'm frantically typing away here before I fill the cars.
One day, I'll delve into the sacrifices my co-founder has made, but for now, he prefers a low profile. ??
Education
Next week seems to be all about education. I'm looking forward to showing you all how we're supporting further education and because of the movement we're creating the next generation of engineers will know the products, brands and people in our industry, before they've even joined.
Meet us in person - November 1st & 2nd.
We're proud to be strategic partners with?Advanced Engineering UK?exhibition.
You can now register to visit the exhibition from within the EI app.
Prepare to join 9,000+ of your peers who are expected to attend this exceptional gathering."
