Engineers Fighting Charisma Are Really Stuck On This

"It will take me 15 years to be charismatic like my boss."
Who freakin' told you that??
And why do you believe it?
We covered this in my group coaching session with engineers and emerging leaders.
I give the group credit for being vulnerable AND committed to learning week after week.???
They are on the fast-track with leadership and growth.
A few students admire their boss because he's a natural storyteller.
Someone who is friendly and makes it all look easy.
They say he has charisma.?
And one person said, "It'll take me 15 years..."
Reality check: No one is born with this personality trait.??
??Charisma is a magnetism and allure.
??You know people who are easy to get along with, light-hearted, and fun.
??Others seem drawn to them.
The good news is that charisma is an acquired skill.
It's like driving a car, cooking, or playing pickleball.?
But first things first.

Emerging leaders in A/E/C must learn confidence before charisma.
If you think and believe your personality sucks or it will take 15 years, this becomes your reality.???
That's not the mindset of a confident person.
You can develop charisma in 15 days (the way I teach it!), not 15 months, and certainly not 15 years.
Most A/E/C students in my coaching programs say they don't "know enough" in client meetings.
Often, our internal communication is riddled with tired stories of self-doubt.
Your life will transform when you decide to take your power back.
Tell yourself a new internal story of success.?
??Confidence is the foundation of charisma.??
You must believe you're capable of learning new communication techniques so that you feel more self-assured.
It will serve you well right NOW.
???Then, learn the virtue of charisma.?
You'll be unstoppable!
