Engineers Day Celebration at MITS Rayagada

MITS Rayagada marked Engineers Day on 14th September 2024, in honor of Bharata Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya's birth anniversary, which is celebrated on 15th September. The event began with a grand inauguration ceremony graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Siva Karunakaram, CEO of AEP Certification. He was accompanied by Dr. C.V. Gopinath, Director of MITS, and Prof. Ramanuja Nayak, Principal of MITS, who jointly inaugurated the program.

The gathering of students, faculty, and staff was addressed by Mr. Animesh Ghosh, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology, who spoke eloquently on the importance of Engineers Day. He highlighted the remarkable contributions and achievements of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, one of India's greatest engineers, emphasizing his role in the development of modern engineering practices.

A series of technical events were held as part of the Engineers Day celebrations, drawing enthusiastic participation from the students. The dignitaries distributed cash prizes and certificates to the winners, acknowledging their innovative ideas and technical prowess.

The event concluded with Ms. Sagyan Swain, the Coordinator of the event, extending her heartfelt thanks to all the teams and individuals who contributed to the smooth and successful conduct of the celebration.
