Engineering vs. Science

David Billington, Professor of Engineering Emeritus at Princeton University, is credited with this quote: "Engineering or technology is the making of things that did not previously exist, whereas science is the discovering of things that have long existed." Engineering is about creating new things that never existed, while science delves into discovering the secrets of the world that have been there all along.
