Engineering the Future of Humanity: The Pivotal Role of Software Engineering in AI Age

In July 2023, I published my first LinkedIn newsletter with the title "Digital CXO Advisor" with the aim of providing insights for?managers towards being transformational CXOs in the age of the digital economy. During the past one and a half years, I have published 70+ editions within this newsletter that discussed business, managerial, technical, and mixed topics, such as digital economy, digital ecosystems, digital platforms economy and?platformization, digital native enterprises, management of emerging technologies, business strategies and dynamics, strategy governance and frameworks, management of innovation, digital transformation and twins, metaverses, enterprise AI & data strategies and governance, generative AI strategies and agents, generative AI and software engineering, AI monetization and information economics, digital banking, blockchain technology, and global digital business services.

During the second half of 2024, the focus of consequent editions of the?"Digital CXO Advisor" started to focus more and more on "Artificial Intelligence-Related Topics." Although this was a normal reaction to the unprecedented advancements in the field of AI, I received feedback from some readers who may not be so interested in the editions that were more technically oriented and didn't maintain the typical technical-managerial balance as the earlier editions of the newsletter.?

Hence, it was so clear that there are almost two categories of readers that are interested in different categories of the editions within the newsletter. Therefore, I made the decision to publish these "Deep Technical-Oriented Editions" in a brand-new LinkedIn-separated newsletter, and this is the first edition of the newsletter that you are currently reading. This second newsletter will have the title "Engineering AI & Data Business" and focus on sharing "Actionable Insights" for those who are enthusiasts about the engineering of "Artificial Intelligence and Data Products, Services," and even "Entire Businesses" that deliver these products and services.?

For example, the engineering and selling of value-added AI products such as recommendation engines and AI agents are clear examples of topics that can be discussed in this new newsletter.?The engineering?of value-added data marts as self-services is a clear example of the data services that may be addressed, too. Finally, the engineering of the production systems within the software development enterprises that produce these value-added products and services will be at the heart of the scope.?
