Relaunch Edition!
by Tom Loughlin & Carly Cohen - February 2025
I hope this finds you well.? I am Tom Loughlin, ESW’s executive director, and together with Carly Cohen, we are pleased to relaunch the Workforce Development at ESW. We’re excited to work with the ESW leadership team and partner organizations in creating and sharing opportunities and resources to aid the career development of our student members.
One such resource is this career newsletter. In this email newsletter, we will highlight interesting and useful resources, select opportunities from ESW and our friends and partners, and share other benefits that the organization's members can access.
We begin with posting a couple of reports (old and new) that underscore the demand for Green Jobs.??
We are also aware that the new administration's recent actions, including halting renewable energy projects and promoting fossil fuels, have raised concerns about the future of green jobs in the U.S. Industry leaders warn that these measures could increase electricity costs and hinder infrastructure development. However, many states are continuing their clean energy initiatives, recognizing the economic benefits and job creation potential of renewable energy. The outlook for green jobs will depend on the balance between federal policies and state-level commitments to clean energy.
We will endeavor to post useful information that will help you enter the green workforce and you are welcome to reach out at any time.
