The Engine Room - Introducing Alix Robey

From the busy corridors of Allied Credit’s HQ, welcome to The Engine Room, a series of posts to get to know our team members. Today, we introduce Alix Robey.

Alix is one of our Business Development Managers for our Broker Business. As a BDM Alix’s role involves fostering and building relationships with Brokers, Aggregators as well as internal credit and settlement teams.?Time is also invested assisting Brokers with day-to-day transactions as well as providing training where needed.?

Off the clock, Alix finds joy in outdoor adventures with her family—running, biking, golf, and even a little skateboarding. While she modestly claims she’s “not very good” at the latter, her passion for learning and self-improvement shines through in everything she does. “Spending time outdoors makes me happy and calm,” she shares, adding that she loves the pride that comes with personal progress, whether it’s fitness, speed, or mastering a new skill.

We asked Alix about her many talents, and she says that although small and quirky, saying the alphabet backwards “has won me a prize”. Alix also said to us that if her life were a comedy movie, Jennifer Lawrence would play her in a movie called Diary of an Injured Runner—"a nod to my journey back to running being as long as my tenure at Allied”.

Alix also brings her authentic self to her professional life at Allied Credit, where she’s found a culture that celebrates connection and teamwork. Reflecting on her journey so far, she says her proudest moment was settling the company’s first broker application—a milestone that brought palpable excitement to the entire team.

But for Alix, success isn’t just about achievements; it’s about the relationships and moments of growth along the way. “When I first started in the industry, I felt like I had to be someone I wasn’t,” she recalls. “Now, by being myself, I’ve built much deeper and more meaningful relationships with my colleagues and clients.”

What sets Allied Credit apart for Alix is its culture. “From leadership to colleagues, everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and supported,” she says. And her advice to anyone new at Allied? “Ask questions. When people here say they’re happy to help, they genuinely mean it!”

Alix’s story is one of embracing authenticity, pursuing goals, and finding joy in the journey. Whether it’s a life goal like completing an Ironman or celebrating small wins with her team, Alix reminds us all of the power of showing up as your true self and supporting one another along the way.
