Diwali is a significant festival. Also known as the Festival of Lights, it commemorates the triumph of goodness over anything evil. To mark the occasion, rows of Diyas are lit along the temples and homes, throughout five days. As homes are adorned with rangoli, the stunning patterns created from colorful rice, sand, and flower petals may also be let loose to drift along rivers and streams. People also enjoy shopping, prayers, presents, feasts, and sweets throughout this festival.
Our list of activities was the ideal way to partake in this festival and impart kids with something valuable and significant. While anticipating bringing the celebration of light into our classrooms, we planned several enjoyable Diwali activities for elementary school students.
●?????During the Diwali celebrations, rangoli is a crucial component. The celebration of Diwali would be incomplete without drawing a lovely rangoli on the floor and decorating it with lovely colors. We divided sections on the floor for the students to follow their artistic inclinations.
●?????Greeting cards are undoubtedly among the best things to do as part of Diwali activities for students. Kids enjoy playing with glitter or drawing on paper. Their cards were embellished with glitter and sequins in the shape of stars. We informed them that they would be sending their greeting cards to their close friends and family to keep things exciting for them.

●?????Making lanterns has always been a fun ride for kids since they get to learn more about colors, designs, and inventive methods to build things. This also helps them in picking up a lot of valuable life lessons. Students learned a lot from this Diwali project, including how much glue is best to use on the lantern and how to gently cut the frills with a pair of scissors. Everyone was ecstatic after looking at the end products!
●?????One of the most enjoyable Diwali activities for children is crafting jewellery since they get to wear it. We gave them a big order to create some adorable jewellery for Diwali that they could wear with their family during the celebrations. They were all occupied with realizing their creative prowess while participating in this pleasant Diwali activity.?
All the above activities refreshed the young minds of these primary school students. They spent some time engaging with their peers before the festival holidays. KRMWS aims to organize more such interactive activities that make learning fun!?
