Engaging to make our community better for everyone
Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber
The premier business and civic organization dedicated to growing the vibrancy and economic prosperity of the region.
Happy Spring! In a span of about ten days, we get St. Patrick's Day, Spring Break for many, March Madness, and Opening Day. If that doesn't get your juices flowing (and the local hospitality economy going), I don't know what will.
Thinking of spring and what's new, I wanted to take a quick moment to highlight our new Chamber Board members who took office in January of this year. Our new Chamber Board Chair is Jim Watkins, the CEO of Triversity Construction . Over the past decade, Jim has lent his passion, expertise, and leadership to numerous initiatives in our region, including affordable housing policy, the proposed caps on Fort Washington Way, and economic development—all in support of our vision of building a growing, thriving region where everyone belongs. I'm grateful for his service to our organization and looking forward to his contributions as Board Chair.
Also joining our Board are new members Katrina English , SVP & Chief Administrative Officer, UC Health; Holly Mazzocca, CFP? , President, Wealth Advisor, Principal, Bartlett; Lisa Vannis , Audit & Assurance Partner, Deloitte; and Andrew Worrell , General Counsel and Secretary, Fischer Homes. All four new Board members join an incredible team of volunteers who help steer our organization, support the region's growth strategy, and help extend our influence into the furthest reaches of the community.
Board service is a hallmark of this region's civic engagement. And many Board members--of the Chamber or other organizations--find that their passion is lit during a Leadership program. I'll note that?Leadership Cincinnati,?WE Lead, and several other Leadership program applications are in cycle right now: check them out here. Don't forget our?Hello Cincy Executive?program. HCE kicks off Class 3 this year, and if you know a new-to-our-region senior executive, invite them and their spouse/partner to participate in this unique and engaging welcoming program.
Chances are, when you read this, there will be a tournament game on. A shout out to my colleague Liz Keating, who when organizing our team's brackets this year, insisted that filling out a bracket means filling out both a men's and women's basketball bracket. There's a lot of basketball on this weekend, both men's and women's, and I hope you enjoy time with friends cheering on your favorite team.

Center for Research and Data
This week, as we celebrate connections and community spirit through St. Patrick’s Day, the latest Census data brings exciting news for the Cincinnati region. From 2023 to 2024, the majority of our local population growth came from international migration—a continuing trend over recent years. Just as we honor the legacy of 19th-century immigrants from places like Ireland and Germany whose hard work and cultural contributions shaped Cincinnati, today's international migration continues to enrich our community, bringing fresh ideas, diverse perspectives, and vibrant energy to our region. As community leaders, embracing this global connectivity is essential to Cincinnati's thriving future.
