Parent engagement is often discussed in educational circles, yet its true essence goes beyond mere attendance at school events or reading newsletters. Genuine engagement involves parents feeling deeply connected to their child's learning journey and the broader school community. This profound connection not only enhances student outcomes but also enriches the entire educational environment.
The Impact of Parent Engagement
Extensive research highlights the significance of active parent involvement in education. Studies have consistently found that when parents engage in their children's learning, students exhibit:

2 天前Thank you for the wonderful article Matt. It's a long time since I was a teacher but I remember in the late 1970sw 'community involvement' became quite a big thing. Well, at least a big thing in the inner city of Sydney where I was teaching. And of course a part of that was parental involvement. You've bought back some great memories. Thank you

2 天前Love this. We have a system where students can get house points or a gold card for extras. This term our adults have to join in to do 5 Auslan signs with their child. Its also a chance to literally get a gold card as a mum or dad or carer!
