Engage for Success
In my research around employee engagement, I came across a voluntary movement in the UK, Engage For Success. They are promoting employee engagement as a better way to work, that benefits individual employees, teams, and whole organizations. There are 30 Million employees in the UK and only one in three are engaged. Idea is, everyone in the UK should be able to give their best each day, so that each day is a great day at work, and that workplaces in the UK are thriving, growing and developing through the commitment, energy, and creativity of the people that work in them.
This resonates with what Laszlo Bock's "Let's make work better". Re: work also strives to make work better around the world.
According to the 2017 Employee Engagement eNPS benchmarks report by Perceptive, eNPS across all industries in New Zealand is -3 (which I feel is quite respectable). We as representatives of People community can do a lot to #makeworkbetter and help people give their best at work which in turn will help achieve business goals.
"There are only three measurements that tell you nearly everything you need to know about your organization's overall performance: Employee Engagement, Customer Satisfaction, and Cash Flow. It goes without saying that no company, small or large, can win over the long run without energized employees who believe in the mission and understand how to achieve it" - Jack Welch
