Kansas State University receives $3.2 million in grants
Kansas State University's Olathe campus is receiving two grants totaling more than $3.2 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, or FMCSA, for safety initiatives involving commercial motor vehicles and buses.
These initiatives support K-State Olathe’s?Next-Gen Strategic Plan?focusing on advanced manufacturing and the supply chain and expand the research capabilities and presence of K-State's Carl R. Ice College of Engineering into the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area.

JCERT scholarships open doors for student
Ashlee Gibbons is a JCERT scholarship recipient who came to K-State Olathe to study animal health. She wasn’t completely sure what her future career path would look like, but Gibbons knew one thing: she liked understanding metabolism, specifically in ruminants. JCERT recipient receives additional $30,000 scholarship
JCERT scholarship recipient Cristina Marquez was recently selected to receive a $30,000 scholarship. Marquez received her M.S. in Veterinary Biomedical Science in May 2024. She also completed her doctor of veterinary medicine program at the same time.
