Last year, I found myself surrounded by people who constantly complained. Meetings were a drag, and my motivation was plummeting. Then, I decided to shift my mindset—focusing on solutions instead of problems. Slowly, I started attracting coworkers who wanted to collaborate, who brought fresh ideas, and who made work enjoyable again. That's when I truly realised the power of the energy we put out.
Have you ever noticed how certain people light up a room, while others seem to drain it? Which kind of energy do you think you’re projecting?
What kind of energy do you want to surround yourself with? Are your current relationships helping you grow, or holding you back?
Think of your energy as the ripple effect of a stone tossed into a calm lake. Each action, thought, and word sends waves outward, touching the lives of those around you. What kind of ripples are you creating?
What you radiate, you attract. Your energy is your signature, and it influences the kind of people and opportunities that gravitate towards you. If you lead with authenticity, positivity, and purpose, you'll naturally draw those who share your values and vision.
Lead with Authenticity and Purpose
Being authentically you is a rare and powerful act. When you lead with authenticity, you're not just presenting a facade that aligns with society's standards—you're showing up as your true self, with all your strengths, vulnerabilities, and passions.
Authenticity isn’t about perfection; it’s about being real. People are naturally drawn to others who are genuine because it builds trust and connection. When your energy is aligned with your true self, you not only feel more at peace, but you also attract individuals who respect and appreciate you for who you are, not for who you pretend to be.?
Being authentic also needs to be coupled with purpose. When you live with purpose, you’re constantly guided by a bigger vision. You’re not just going through the motions; you’re striving toward goals that matter deeply to you. And as you move forward on this path, you’ll find others who are aligned with your mission, ready to support and contribute to your journey.
The Power of Positivity
Positivity is a magnet. It doesn't mean ignoring life’s challenges or sugar-coating difficulties—it’s about maintaining hope and focusing on the solutions, not the problems. When you consistently operate from a mindset of possibility, you inspire those around you to do the same. Your energy becomes contagious, and you'll find that your circle naturally includes people who uplift and motivate you.
On the flip side, negative energy tends to repel positivity. Those who consistently complain, criticize, or dwell on what's wrong with the world will struggle to connect with those who radiate optimism and hope.
That's why it's crucial to be mindful of your mindset and the energy you bring into your interactions. The more you cultivate a positive outlook, the more you'll attract those who mirror that energy back to you.
Surround Yourself with the Right Energy
The people we surround ourselves with play a huge role in shaping our thoughts, emotions, and actions. Jim Rohn famously said, "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." If you want to grow, you need to ensure you're surrounded by people who challenge and support you in the best ways possible.
Take a moment to reflect on your current circle. Are these individuals helping you grow, inspiring you, and pushing you toward your goals? Or are they holding you back, fuelling negativity, and draining your energy? The truth is, you don’t have to accept every energy that comes your way. You have the power to curate your environment, and that includes the people you allow into your inner circle.
Embrace Your Unique Vibe and Find Your Tribe
Each of us has a unique energy signature—a combination of our beliefs, values, and experiences. This is what makes us distinct and what attracts certain people into our lives. By embracing your unique vibe, you're signaling to the world that you're not afraid to be who you truly are, and you're ready to connect with others who resonate with your energy.

Finding your tribe isn’t about collecting as many people as possible; it’s about fostering deep, meaningful connections with individuals who understand and support your journey. It’s about creating a community where everyone can thrive, grow, and elevate each other toward their greater goals. When you find this tribe, the power of collective energy is transformative.
Let’s look at some real life examples......?
Examples which will show how different life areas—whether work, personal relationships, or growth journeys—are deeply impacted by the energy we project.
1. Workplace Example:
Imagine you’re part of a team at work where everyone is constantly negative—complaining about tasks, criticizing management, and gossiping about colleagues. It’s draining, right? But then, one new hire joins with an infectious positive attitude. They focus on solutions, not problems, and before you know it, others start mirroring this energy. The new energy shifts the whole team's dynamic, encouraging more collaboration and motivation. This demonstrates how one person’s energy can impact the workplace environment.
2. Entrepreneurship Example:
Think of a small business owner who starts with an authentic vision. They’re passionate about sustainability and transparency, and this authenticity shines through their products and interactions with customers. Over time, they attract a loyal customer base who share the same values. Not only do these customers support the business, but they also become ambassadors, spreading the word about the brand’s authenticity and purpose.
3. Friendship Example:
Ever noticed how, when you're going through a tough time, certain friends seem to pull away, while others are drawn closer? That’s the power of energy in friendships. When you're consistently radiating negativity—whether due to stress, frustration, or worry—you may push away those who are positive and growth-focused. But when you make a conscious shift to approach life with optimism, you’ll find that those same friends, and even new ones, begin to re-engage, helping to uplift and inspire you.
4. Dating Example:
Many people have experienced dating someone who initially seems great on paper but later realize they’re drawn to partners who share similar values and energy. For instance, someone who has worked on themselves to live with kindness, honesty, and purpose will often attract partners with those same qualities. Conversely, those who are insecure or inauthentic might find themselves repeating negative relationship patterns until they work on shifting their energy.
5. Personal Growth Example:
Consider someone on a fitness journey. When they’re negative about their progress—constantly focusing on what they can’t do yet or criticising themselves—they might find it hard to stay motivated or connect with supportive people. But when they focus on what they’re accomplishing, no matter how small, they’ll naturally attract friends, trainers, or fitness groups that motivate them to push forward.
