Energy Storage Device -Supercapacitor Technology

As we have seen, energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness are crucial for businesses operating in developing countries. Without access to reliable electrical energy, it's challenging to use expensive mineral energy in underdeveloped areas. Thus, solar energy must be utilized effectively. When it comes to installing water purifiers, the cost of solar energy can be a concern, as it often exceeds the cost of the purifiers themselves. To overcome this challenge, careful design is necessary to ensure efficient use of solar power. In our quest to optimize solar power generation, we discovered the importance of energy storage technology, particularly battery technology.

They are highly efficient and can be made small because of their high energy density. They are also very useful because they don't suffer from self-discharge, unlike some other types of batteries. However, they have a fatal flaw - they can explode. This is the reason we frequently hear news about fatalities caused by lithium-ion battery explosions. Additionally, they take a long time to charge, perform poorly at low temperatures, and have a limited number of charge-discharge cycles (1-2,000 times).

As a result, there's growing interest in supercapacitors as an alternative to traditional batteries.

Have you ever heard of supercapacitors? They are essentially capacitors that collect and store electrical charges. They are used to quickly collect and release electrical charges. Supercapacitors consist of two electrodes with an electrolyte in between. When voltage is applied, the electrolyte charges and stores energy. Since the charges move quickly, charging time is incredibly fast, and the power output is instantaneous, which means they have a high-power density. Unlike batteries, supercapacitors have a non-chemical reaction and can be discharged and recharged more than 500,000 times without any noticeable loss in performance, making them practically permanent.

Supercapacitors were an alternative to overcoming the problem of secondary batteries, but short discharge times have always been a fatal limitation.

In addition, since it is a capacitor technology, it is very safe, has a very long lifespan, and has a wide usable temperature range because there is no problem with heat generation, explosion, or fire due to over discharge or overcharge of the secondary battery.

We have not only developed this technology, but also commercialized it and are selling it in various industrial battery markets. Additionally, we are also launching and selling small personal battery products. This technology is not merely theoretical, but has been demonstrated to be commercially viable.
