Energy Drinks – it is estimated that 1 out of 3 teens between the ages of 12 and 17 drink them regularly. To make matters worse, they are marketed to our youth with promises of increased alertness and enhanced physical and mental performance. But this BUZZ ... is a DUD. These drinks contain high levels of caffeine and sugar, and too much caffeine can cause:
Jitteriness
Nervousness
Upset stomach
Headaches
Difficulty concentrating
Difficulty sleeping
Increased heart rate
Increased blood pressure
