Energy company GEC marks third anniversary with expansion plans

Green Energy Consulting, an independent commercial energy consultancy, is marking its third year in business with both staff and office expansion plans following sustained growth.

Since establishing in 2012, Green Energy Consulting is celebrating their third successful year this week. The team have worked hard for their current market position as a leading independent UK commercial energy consultancy, specialising in the renewable electricity, gas and sustainability sector. Green Energy Consulting intends to continue developing and is excited to celebrate many more anniversaries in the future.

Over the recent three years, Green Energy Consulting has gone from strength to strength. Their impressive increase in turnover and growth of the company demonstrates the hard work and determination of the Green Energy Consulting team. Green Energy Consulting’s turnover has quadrupled to half a million in the last year, which is an impressive growth rate for a medium sized company in such a short timescale.

In terms of staff growth rate, the company now employs twenty-two employees with a plethora of skills and qualifications. Green Energy Consulting was founded by their two directors who, back in 2012, managed every single aspect of the business between them; therefore the growth of the company is regarded as a huge personal achievement. ‘It's our third anniversary and we're really proud of that. Green Energy Consulting have devised a plan for the next 6-9 months to increase staff numbers to approximately 50 members, so intend to create more jobs in all departments of the company. Almost half of the employees have become a vital part of the team through Green Energy Consulting’s much-valued graduate scheme – which is fully supported by the local universities in the area.

Due to the success of Green Energy Consulting’s much desired services, they have had no other option but to relocate from the original office situated within one of Gateshead’s first redeveloped railway arches. Impressive growth of staff and workload required Green Energy Consulting to find a facility of a larger capacity – allowing further development in the organisation. The company have identified the great potential in the former headquarters of Autotrader North East which is their new 2,500ft2 base of operation.
