Energy (Brazil): how far will we go?

I was contacted by the owner of a property rented to an industry in a Greater S?o Paulo area.

Given the frequent unplanned interruptions in the supply of electricity, the industry expressed interest in moving because the losses of revenue made it unviable to operate in that location.

When I mentioned that ANEEL (regulator) established a maximum of?20 hours per year for unplanned interruptions, the owner laughed at me.

The (short-term) solution would be to rent a generator to deal with the interruptions and (in the medium term) to? insist with the local utility to take the necessary measures.

The generator solution would, of course, require an additional montly cost. Waiting for the utility would be "wishful thinking" considering the harsh reality.

Meanwhile, we are going downhill in the electricity sector. It is as if there were no oversight by official agencies, much less any correctness and rectitude of the utility's principles.
