When we burn out we exert more than we gain.

Limit the first and increase the second.

Say more yes to what energizes you and more no to what exhausts you.

"Say more yes to what energizes you and more no to what exhausts you." Many might misinterpret this part??. There are so many things that exhaust you but in the long run energizes you. Going to the gym and working out is exhausting but it energizes and makes you stronger in the end. Working hard on yourself is exhaustive but when consistency meets success, it energizes you. I believe if the end energizes you then the burnout is worth it. However, after burnouts replenish your energy by something energizing(resting, changing environment, eating healthy...). Remember, Balance is the key

You know this triggers with me. You know it. It's all about energy conservation. Not "zero energy", that'd be "dead". But energy management and intelligent use of the energy we have is underestimated in all aspects of life.

Paying attention to our energy levels and how we spend and fain energy are very important. I think it's easy to overlook what it is that consumes our energy in ways that doesn't replenish it and it means that we end up running on empty if we are not careful. Thanks for highlighting, Octavian Graf Pilati.

Probably easiest to answer for a sports person fully focusing on their achievements. Much more difficult for the average person. You might burn energy at times without being aware of it. Certain things might drain you for a long time before it shows. Would say you write a book about it with plenty of case studies ??
