The Enduring Power of the #BAHDsamaritan

I'm feeling a little sentimental right now, but not for the distant past.

I've been trying to work out how to bring the recent developments (& the whole sorry saga) of the #FulfilmentPartnersFromHell - a.k.a. e2b Fulfilment logistics / Global Infusion Group / Eat to the Beat - to a much, much wider audience.?

But this is the first time I've really sought #publicity. And the amount I clearly have to learn is utterly daunting - the few time-consuming (& no doubt inept) attempts I made were met with a silence that shook me slightly.?

Flailing about, without a Scooby re. #PR, brought home just how long I've been hunkered down and how obscured my one-man-brand had become to the public eye.

So, newly aware that all hope seemed to rest on people who already knew #BAHD & its beginnings. I.e. Those who were there for the #StreetFoodRevolution, and supported & helped shape it.

So I went back through the mists of my mind, way back, for any "ghosts of media-past" and the apparition of Maggie Ayre at my cart on Old Street & the echoes of my waffle on the hallowed #R4 airwaves manifested.?

It was only upon looking Maggie up on LinkedIn that I became aware of the wonderful invisible hand she's had in my life all these years, something beyond even the scope of hot dogs...

I discovered she also produces RADIO IIII 's Soul Music - one of my all-time favourites. A show that has been known to bring tears rolling down my cheeks.

So, blown away, I DM'd her gingerly. Bracing myself for another chastening silence...?

But what I got back was a renewed (and much-needed) faith in humanity!

After 11 years she was warmer and more interested & supportive than ever.?

Even if nothing comes of her kind introductions to #You &Yours producers, & others, just the offer has been a great service.?

It has put me on the "good foot", and on the path to dusting off my little red book & actively reconnecting with the figures & friends that made #TheBAHDoldDays so damned good!
