Endurance but what for ?

I was once asked by my friend "why is it that we follow along with what others do?,why is it that even if we have a better solution to a problem we stick with the previous solution and endure its result?"

it was quite a random question that followed after our conversation and totally unrelated to the topic of discussion. When we went back home for the day the question she asked me gave me an idea to write this poem.

I heard "if you can't walk then crawl"

That is how it should have gone,

but I ask still till when can you? for how long?

endure your circumstances to stand tall.

I am so tired, so frustrated

these high heel shoes won't come off

yet, even if they come off

I am in a situation of saturation

Choices are many yet chance?, just one

that can change this whole situation and yet it can not.

I navigate still though not taught ,

to watch me struggle I see others have fun

"Endure, be patient,everyting will be fine",

but change can't happen if its still the same

To just follow I too am to blame

So,I will take what was and is mine

I am a rose with thorns

now, I have seen the truth

no more to this matter am I aloof

to the low shrubs I sit in and adorn.
