There Is Endless Power & Answers Embedded In "Hardship"

Hey loves! I was fortunate to see the one and only Beyonce' at Soldier Field last weekend. The night before I was slated to go, the person who planned to go with me cancelled. 7:10 p.m. to be exact. One minute we were making brunch plans for when I arrived and the next minute they said they weren't coming, cancelled the hotel, and said 'have a nice weekend.'

I was flabbergasted. I felt like there was no way I would be able to sell my tickets at such late notice. And for a moment I even thought about not going although I put in "werk" to get these tickets y'all and two combined were more than my mortgage payment so I honestly didn't want to lose the money.

Once I got my ego out of the way through conditioning my mind to focus on not what happened or how hurt I was this person would do this to me at the last minute, I cleared enough space to remember that my dear friend and strategic partner, Dr. Annice Fisher lived in Chicago, and perhaps she was available to go with me.

All things aligned. She was not even supposed to be in town during this time so we both knew this was a divine encounter. Although I was looking forward to seeing her and the concert, what happened the night before wore heavy on my heart and mind, not to mention some other things regarding relationships. The more I leaned into my emotions, releasing what was, the more God spoke to me through Annice, not only about relationships but also things in business. And God was using me in the same way for her.

By the end of the weekend, we both had clarity about next steps regarding our personal and business endeavors. And we both had discovered new resources for accomplishing our pursuits, not to mention greater clarity on the vision we both have for our lives.

That's the magic of seemingly hardship. It can present itself in a way that feels disempowering, but it is actually a vehicle for you to find alignment - if only you allow it.?

At the end of the day there is beauty to be found in everything - no matter how bleak something appears to be on the surface. If your focus is on the dark sides of the "hardship" then you'll miss seeing the light.

One of the ways that we actively harness our light is by aligning with good people, and being willing to do our work to center joy, peace, pleasure, and creativity in everything. Because at the end of the day, only we can control us.?

We are not powerless. Not ever. By creating stillness and surrounding yourself with other people who are on an aligned healing journey that are willing to live and speak truth, you are one step closer to living liberated.

My mother used to say one monkey can't stop the show, and she's right. I could have stayed angry at this person but what would good would it have done? It would only harm me in the process. So I chose to release it instead, and move differently in the future. Although their actions weren't personal, as the Four Agreements teaches us, their actions clearly have the potential to harm me so now I will simply engage with them differently. That's real power.?
