Black Friday – Now is the time to end.
Black Friday is a worrying reminder how little we are doing to stop the damage of mass consumption. As an immediate, if only tiny, solution, use Black Friday to #Unsubscribe.
Lots of companies you have forgotten about, reveal themselves on Black Friday. Tempting you. Do yourself a favour spend ten minutes unsubscribing and end all these lingering relationships.
(If you don’t benefit from this account, unsubscribe.)
Ending Type: Broken / Withdrawal
This may be defined as an unplanned, and often uncomfortable separation between the provider and the consumer. For products, we experience items ending through poor manufacture or exceeding the expectations of normal usage. Common examples could be burning through a pan in the kitchen or finding a newly-purchased item shattered on delivery.

1 年From the messages below, it seems many people have a little process of navigating the Black Friday marketing. A little routine. It makes me think of the postal industry having named events (invisible to regular people) as a consequence of Christmas sales and unwanted gifts. First post day after Christmas is called Mail Back Monday. It is actually the busiest postal day for many countries.

1 年I love this. I do spend December looking at all the emails in my “newsletters” folder and unsubscribe from those I don’t read. It’s no criticism in any of the authors. Many of whom are at the top of their game or full of great information. But I have limited time. Even if I end all my leisurely distraction social media scrolling, I. Ant read and digest them all. So every Dec/jan break I take the opportunity to cull the incoming and “Marie Kondo” the crap out of that folder. It’s also an opportunity to try new voices, new writers, new streams. Thanks for the catalyst, Joe.
