End the Year Mindfully

Do we need to check off all our goals to feel good about ourselves?
This is what today's meditation is about: finding a kinder, gentler, and more mindful way to end the year than in a frenzy of busyness, goal-obsession, stress, and self-judgement.
Will you join me today for a few moments of stillness and calm?
I promise, everything that's on your plate right this moment, will still with you when we're done - and you'll approach it from a much calmer and grounded place, with grace.
P.S. I won't write long newsletters anymore to go with these meditations. We're all busy and getting busier as the year draws to an end. My goal is not to get you to read yet another post, but to get you to feel at peace. That's what the meditations are about.
P.P.S. As always, please feel free to share with someone who needs this message today. And subscribe to be notified when I post these Sunday meditations.

3 个月I don't give myself year-long goals. I have a big vision and milestone. And I am working toward my next milestone. The more I work on myself, the faster I reach it - it is truly more about eliminating obstacles than working more or faster.

3 个月Couldn’t agree more! I used to end each year in a frenzy of checking boxes, only to feel drained. Last year, I tried slowing down, giving myself permission to reflect rather than rush. It was the most grounded December I’ve had in years.
