End of Year Highlights
Steadman Brown
Salesforce recruitment experts, with service at the heart of our culture
As we say goodbye to the rollercoaster of a year that 2021 has been, there's no better time to reflect on our own personal journey as a business. Steadman Brown turned four years old this October and it's fair to say that a lot has changed within those four years, especially in the last 12 months.
Starting out as a one man band, our director Lewis has allowed Steadman Brown to flourish into one of the UK's leading Salesforce recruitment agencies. So, let's explore just what's happened...
We grew as a team
At the start of the year, Steadman Brown only had four employees (including Lewis), however, we end the year with nine of us, with the plan to grow even further in the new year! Fortunately, we've been able to experience a sense of team bonding as we've been in the office for the majority of the year. We've even been lucky enough to let our hair down for our end of Quarter socials where we've been able to get to know each other outside of an office environment.
We gave back!
In early 2021 we became a Pledge 1% partner. As a business we now pledge 1% of our profits, time and resources to charity. Furthermore, the recent pandemic has highlighted the need for people to pull together and give back to the Earth.
At Steadman Brown, we believe that there is no time like the present to act on these issues which is why this year we started to make a pledge. This pledge was to plant a tree in the UK, for every candidate we placed. This has been a major success, and we were pleased to support the National forest charity to make this happen.
We have also supported various other charities throughout the year too, including Macmillan Cancer support and Action for A-T.
We Restructured
In mid 2021, we took the decision to restructure our team. We now have dedicated teams focused on core Salesforce areas, further establishing ourselves as a truly niche, Salesforce specialist recruitment company. This was a strategic move, to allow our clients and candidates to get a truly personal service, working alongside a recruiter dedicated to a specific area of Salesforce, further reinstating our point of being niche, Salesforce recruitment experts.
We now have teams focused solely in the following areas:
Salesforce Administration/Management | Salesforce Consulting and Project Management | Salesforce Development and Architecture | Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Pardot.
Our year in numbers...
An end of year round up wouldn't be complete without some numbers and figures of our success so here goes:

Our aim for next year...
More expansion:
We've already made head-way in building out our core Salesforce teams, however, we have aggressive plans to increase these teams, and build several new teams in other SFDC areas of interest. You will see some new faces joining in early 2022!
A new office:
We're openly exploring moving a bigger office, as we have simply maxed out our current space. Whilst a large part of the working world has shifted to home-based, our team have really seen the benefit and importance of team collaboration, and the fun that you have in an office, which MS teams really can't replicate.
More fun:?
2021 has been a battling year. This is why we recently launched our new tradition of a 'Steadman Brown Summer Holiday', for our top achievers. Our top achievers will all be off to sunny Split, Croatia in 2022, for an all expenses trip to say thank you, for their hard work and success.
We will leave the final word to our Director Lewis, to get his take on 2021, for Steadman Brown!
2021 has been a rollercoaster. From starting the year in lockdown, to England nearly winning the Euros, to being back in the position of waiting for another lockdown, it's safe to say that 2021 will be remembered.
From a business perspective it's been both exciting and testing! I've been fortunate enough to watch a team of excellent Salesforce recruiters flourish and become experts in their field. The team has really embraced our way of working, and understood the importance we have on so many peoples careers and companies growth plans.
We've outgrown two offices, smashed our annual target within 6 months, and broke our revenue record every single quarter.
We've matured our back-office processes (massive kudos to Sophie), we've implemented Salesforce into our business and are weeks away from launching Salesforce Experience cloud too, to further improve our processes and ways of working.
We have overhauled our employee benefits plan too. The team work hard, and they deserved to be rewarded and looked after accordingly. In 2021 we rolled out a company wide private healthcare and dental care policy, a company gym membership scheme, and also introduced a company wide quarterly bonus scheme, which is in addition to our commission plan too.
As we prepare for a few weeks off, already my attention has turned to 2022. It looks to be another massive year for the company and all our staff. We plan to double in size again (minimum) and help more companies hire the very best Salesforce talent in the marketplace.
We've got some pretty cool new things in the pipeline too, to further help our clients and candidates, but I won't reveal all, just yet!
Thank you to all our clients and candidates for your help, love and support over the last 12 months, and a massive thank you to the team for their hard-work, dedication and passion for what they do!
Merry Christmas everyone, see you in January!
