End of Summer Update

Here in Atlanta, most schools are back in session and there is a hit of fall in the air. Yay - pumpkin spice has arrived! Just kidding, I am not a big pumpkin gal - but I am all about the cooler weather: bring on the hoodies, turtlenecks, college football, chili, apple spiced anything, and the prospect of Halloween. I may need to start shopping for my new Ursula costume - if you have been following me for a minute you know what I am talking about. ;) If you are new to my community, you will probably see her make an appearance in a few weeks!

As a cheerful optimist, I am all about celebrating the wins and the good of these past summer months and I encourge you to do the same! I'd love to celebrate with you! Here's a bit of what I am celebrating as we close out the summer.

• 30 strategy sessions between end of May - Aug1st
• 15 coffee chats
• Onboarded 11 new clients
• Celebrated (5) 1:1 clients landing ?? Including Dan Roth going permanent with Amazon!
• Started going LIVE from CAREERBFF? on 6/14 and this week will celebrate my 10th episode! Join every thursday at noon - Catch this week!
• This week I celebrate 5 months with RocketPower. Supported two different clients, coached over 20 transitioned employees on LinkedIn profile optimization and resume edits, and conducted trainings for recruiters on how to co-brand and market themselves on LinkedIn. Joined the Health & Wellness community as a co-chair and brought in Rebecca O'Brien ???? to do a talk on "Sleep!" Later this month bringing in one of my clients Amanda MacNeven - CSM who is a burnout coach, transitioning teacher to customer success to speak with the community on how to transition off of work when you work from home! Also working with the Sales team, facilitating weekly trainings on profile optimization, engagement strategies, social selling, community building and more.
• Finally shared my idea of the Careerbff Way - 12 Step guide to professional and personal fulfillment. This was an idea I had after the passing of my dear friend Faye who was the most influential women in my life. These steps are modeled after my experience in recovery and formed off of my experiences and truths -- with the aim to bring relief to those struggling along their professional or job search journey. I bawled my eyes out as soon as we turned off the record button. It was a such a divine conversation, and I can't wait to share more with you all! Check out this excitement!
• Self-development looked like hiring Ari Scott who is a ADHD Business Coach. She provided immense insight into why I have done things the way I have, provided me with systems to support my brilliance while assisting me in setting goals and aligning my vision. Robb Gilbear complimented this work with some deep mindset shifts, arrangement of beliefs and provided me with tools which have been a catalyst to attracting dream clients with ease. Because I can't get enough leveling up Jared J. Greer 's Momentum cohort has supported me in my healthy habits, family alignment and overall performance. Of course, I am also working with my sponsor to take me back through the 12 steps, and I attend AA meetings virtually and in person.
• Health Wins - celebrating 6 months being nicotine free. Many of you don't know but I was a closet smoker and the pandemic ect just accelerated that addiction. So glad to be free of that. Also, been walking more regularly with friends and husband, doing yoga a few days a week, and finally releasing some of this pandemic weight. Over 10lbs in the last 2 weeks. Goal is to lose 40lbs by the end of the year. I'll keep you updated!
• Stepped up to serve and coordinate the "Leading Ladies Office Hours" for the Job Connection Tuesday Collective. It's a group to connect job seekers with recruiters and hiring managers. We host ZOOM office hours on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6pm EST. Lead by several coaches and recruiters in the group to provide free job search strategy coaching, networking, and friendship. Occasionally we do audio events and I hosted my first pop up AUDIO event for the JCTC last week -- we had over 50 people attend at the peak over the 90 minute event. • Partnered with author and career educator Rebecca Otis Leder . Her book The Knock Method is a must read for everyone! I was a guest coach for her cohort on best practices on working with recruiters and LinkedIn visibility tips!
• Appeared on Tyler Meckes 20% podcast -- His energy is contagious and we had a ball! Here is a clip of me sharing about my ADHD as a business owner and how I stay committed to my goals. Here is one of Tyler's post with a snippet from our conversation!

This summer has had its fair share of challenges, but I choose to focus on the WINS, the good, and the impact! So, here we are...gracefully navigating this thing called LIFE!
