Citizen Science for Improved Stock Assessments and Climate-Ready Fisheries Management ?from NOAA Fisheries. NOAA Fisheries is seeking proposals to support citizen science projects that can improve federal fishery stock assessments and climate-ready fisheries management. Funding will prioritize projects that provide information for use in stock assessments and increase understanding of current and/or future impacts of climate change on fish stocks and/or fishing communities.

Open call to nominate scientists for membership of the Group of Chief Scientific Advisors to the European Commission . The Group of Chief Scientific Advisors (GCSA) is a part of the Scientific Advice Mechanism. It provides high-quality, timely and independent scientific advice to the College of European Commissioners on any subject, including on policy issues that the European Parliament and the Council consider to be of major importance. Public European science and research organisations are invited to nominate outstanding scientists as candidates for the replenishment of this short-list. The existing short-list remains valid until the end of the Horizon Europe framework programme, meaning that candidates who are currently on the short-list will continue to be considered as candidates for membership of the GCSA. European Ocean Days . We are pleased to invite you to the European Ocean Days 2025! Organised for the first time in 2024, the 2nd edition of the European Ocean Days will take place in Brussels from 3 to 7 March 2025. As the previous edition, it will be a week of events related to European marine and maritime topics. It will cover, on separate days over the week, the EU Mission Ocean and Waters, fisheries science, blue innovation and investment opportunities, ocean literacy activities, and many other topics.
