Happy Holidays to all those who celebrate! As this year winds down, I have tried to slow down this past week; to appreciate the year I've had, enjoy this much-needed, joyful season, and recenter myself for the year ahead.

To be an effective leader, you need to know yourself first. I have experienced many stages of growth and self-discovery during the span of my career, and the last two years are no exception. Many CEOs I've talked to through the pandemic echo the same sentiments. Our motivations, values, feelings, decisions—all of these aspects of our lives impact our performance as leaders. And there's nothing like a crisis to highlight where we excel at leadership and where we are weakest.

Here are some questions every leader should ask themselves as they look to the year ahead:

  • Am I a transactional leader or a transformational leader?
  • Am I impeding innovation or pursuing it?
  • Am I living out our company culture authentically?
  • Do I know what kind of people I need to get the job done?
  • What is our company's core? What drives us?
  • What technologies should I invest in?
  • Do I recognize and reward inclusion when I see it?
  • Do I communicate clearly enough?
  • Am I aware of our employees' concerns and challenges?

Leadership makes the difference.

We've all been forced to reimagine and restructure—ourselves and our organizations—over the last two years. That won't end when the clock strikes midnight on January 1, and that's a good thing. Change is part of the human experience and it's a necessary part of leadership. Change is how we learn, grow, and become better versions of who we are and who we want to become.

I wish you and yours a new year full of necessary change, new experiences, and exciting opportunities. I'm ready for it.

These last two years of pandemic background we'd to work from home and coordinate a team in the distance. So, for me, the most important thing to keep in mind and applicate every day is to be in contact with the team and know how they feel and make them feel they are part of a team. Lonelyness is the worst thing that can happens to a colleague. The rest, eficiency and efectivity comes as usual

Johnny - once again you give us great questions to ponder. I find the last question - Am I aware of our employees' concerns and challenges? to be especially critical right now. We are working hard to listen during our one-to-one's, especially for any mental health issues. (without delving into their private lives) I'd love to know what you are doing with your team. Best wishes in the New Year!!

Political and Business Leaders ? Have I been a Committed Action-oriented Transformational Leader, or is it time to contemplate my position, in ?view of my past term performance ??? Have I impeded creativity & innovations change for the better Have I lived out & delivered the National & International core values authentically Have I appointed & rewarded people on merit, rather than for personal gain towards my re-election Have I embraced our National Core Values, contributing to the Regional & Global Good ? Have I invested & lead social, environmental & economic change for the better, Nationally & Internationally Have I communicated clearly the Vision, Mission & Commitment to enhance Peace, Progress & Prosperity Have I adapted to the challenges & aligned National commitment to International pressing issues & priorities Most Political & Business Leaders ?tend to knowingly make pre-election empty promises that are unlikely to be delivered So often that leaders, in their thrust for power, are not able to stand down ?& move on with dignity in the interest of the Nation & the Corporation Politics with principles Business with morality Power with humility Knowledge with character Technology with humanity ? Christmas, both religious and secular, is a season of giving and goodwill in the middle of a cold somewhat dreary time of the year. We should all celebrate the uplifting spirit in our own way. So, Merry Christmas to all and enjoy our goodwill.
