End-of-Season Reflection

My first season in the return to Divine Savior Holy Angels High School concluded this past Saturday.? Overall, the season was a success with several lifetime bests, a State Champion, and the highest point finish for the team at State in over 20 years.
?
Sunday, I also reflected on how I, as the Head Coach, led the coaching staff, the team, and the parents.
?
I heard about Chuck Warner 's book How to Be a Great Swim Parent. I ordered it a month earlier but had yet to read it. I read it on Sunday.
?
I have never met Chuck, and I know of many people who talk highly of him. I will try to get him on the NISCA podcast in the future.? I coached my kids in High School and was their parent during their club season. This book hits on so many things that I may have done incorrectly as a parent and others I learned along the way that Michelle and I did correctly.
?
I recommend this book to swimming parents. Some of the items in it are also helpful for other sports as well. If you want to borrow my copy, let me know. You should be able to read the 75 pages in less than a night.
