The End is Nigh... (in a good way)

I’ve been so busy with work that I’ve had no time for posting on here. A nice problem to have... to some extent.

The success of Green Tiger Events has taken me a little by surprise this year. I am hugely grateful to my clients for trusting me with their big and small, but always important, projects!

When I set up my company it was off the back of having read about #ikigai - the Japanese concept that loosely translates as #reasonforbeing - I have posted about this before, check it out.

I am grateful and feel privileged to be able to select which projects I support - they all give back and add important value to people’s lives... and as a result, to mine, as I achieve #jobsatisfaction and a sense of worth.

But setting up on my own was very much also about finding a #worklifebalance that works for me as a single mum to two fantastic teens. The result is a little mixed here - I work long hours, often 6 or 7 days per week at the moment. On the plus side though, I tend to be at home whenever they need me and can stop when I want to take them for a lunchtime treat or a long dog walk. .

My advice to anyone thinking about setting up a business: prepare for hard work but also moments of unexpected joy. Be true to yourself and follow your heart.

My advice to myself: switch off the laptop more - the world won’t end!

As I wind down for some much needed rest over Christmas, I will introduce some of the very exciting projects I’m currently involved in and my associated fabulous clients here.

An eclectic mix that brings me joy every day.
