END OF LIFE PRODUCTS
End of life products from Microsoft means that they will no longer be supported and the security updates will stop; leaving you vulnerable.
Most don't like change, but sometimes we have no choice (unless you are a risk taker). Fast approaching are the deadlines from Microsoft for ending support of the below products you may have purchased:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (support ended 9th July 2019)
- Windows Server 2008 & 2008 R2 (support ends 14th January 2020)
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 (support ends 14th January 2020)
- Windows 7 (support ends 14th January 2020)
- Microsoft Office 2010 (support ends 13th October 2020)
- Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 (support ends 13th October 2020)
The ideal action plan is to upgrade to hardware that will support the newer versions of the application / operating systems you are using. Alternatively, speak to Microsoft and buy extended support for your on-premise devices, if available.
