The End Game!

Last week, I was on a training appointment in a big factory where I came across the true face of the current learning paradigm and quite clearly; a way out as well. An epiphany if you may! This assembly line of the human minds showed me a bad technique perfected over thousands of years of training & development. O you know it, it’s called the 'Start to finish'. Or more commonly the ‘ABC’. And everyone does it because they are in what I call the kindergarten syndrome whereby everyone naturally assumes that the brain goes back to zero wisdom stage as soon as it comes across new knowledge. And 'So they shall teach; the way they were taught.’ And by the way just to test whether you are suffering from this syndrome, have you ever thought that the ‘abc’ is not a numerical order nor has any sequential value and you can change it anyway you find easy for the child?. So why didn’t you ever try and teach your kids the ‘BAC’ in any other order?
Anyway here’s the final outcome I call it the END GAME.
Through ‘The end game’ we’ll change the angle of your teaching technique and flip it altogether especially for adults, and professionals. It’s very simple, we’ll start with the completely finished car, make them see it, use it and feel it. Identify the whole concept and use of the car, and then break it apart piece by piece and then show the processes for making one single piece. Since psychologically speaking;
‘The End of the process (output) carries the flavor of wisdom (The proof of concept) while the start of the process (inputs) carries the flavor of knowledge (The concept).’
Here’s how it works;
The Proof of concept instantly places the use of new knowledge that constitutes the final product. Generates dopamine and inhibits cortisol which by the way is the anti-learning chemical. And that’s not the best part, without the proof of concept, the whole training spree of concept development is dripping with cortisol which in its own self negates learning.
By the way that’s not the reason why everyone starts from the beginning, most people start teaching/training from the beginning of the process of manufacturing or servicing because they are suffering from the KGS (kindergarten Syndrome). Even though in school it didn’t make sense to adopt THE END GAME since the human child was not carrying the basic mental acumen for this reversal of order. But after a certain acumen using the start to finish technique is probably the least effective way to train.
The whole developmental process will yield faster and smoother results if you start from the end of the process you are trying to teach and then work your way back to the start.
And I can’t even begin to enlist in this article the benefits for the business and the consumer once the staff is trained through this technique.

9 年Actually it is very helpful for kids too. When i was in school i used to think, why is this algebra/maths, equations required. what problem do they solve and studying without knowing the significance was very difficult. it would really help if one know what problem is this learning going to solve.
