Okay, be honest… Let me know if you have heard the following in India.
“Yaha student pehle Engineering karta hai, phir sochta hai aage kya karna hai!”
“I have to do an MBA after my B.E since Engineering has no scope in India”
“We have flooded the Engineering gates to create a bottle neck, we now have imbalanced the demand-supply ratio”
“Successfully wasted 4 years of life while my peers were clubbing and making memories”
Did you know, the single largest reason for Maruti-Suzuki motors to cut down their production by 60% is the same reason why Mahindra Automobiles have reduced 20% of capacity delivery and it is the same rationale behind the $6 billion revenue deficit in Apple Inc. The Global $100 Billion loss and stagnancy is due to 1 deficiency – “The shortage of Electronic Micro Chips and Semiconductors.”
The world today is heavily dependent on China and Taiwan for these semi-conductors and I can already foresee India becoming a global supreme in the next 5-8 years. Around 30% of global manufacturing ($4 tn) happens in China. A survey by UBS suggests that 20-30% of manufacturing will be leaving from China
India`s growing solar fields and the current geopolitical scenario will catalyse the manifesto of the quad summit, the rise of the Engineering placement will see the highest tide since the past century.?
The existing $440 billion Chip industry is estimated to pump up beyond $600 billion. Global giants like USA, Japan, India and Australia has decided to synergise this opportunity and build systems to amplify based on their strengths.

USA will contribute to semi-conductor design, IPR and electronic automation. Japan will focus on chemicals, silicon wafers and ICS substrates. Australia will play key role in Electronic supply chain and mining capacity while India will deploy skilled Engineers and Infrastructure as decided in the Quad summit 2021.
Indian Cabinet approves Programme for Development of Semiconductors and Display Manufacturing Ecosystem in India.
Hyper incentives of INR 2,30,000 crore to position India as global hub for electronics manufacturing with semiconductors as the foundational building block.
Rs.76000 crore (>10 billion USD) approved for development of semiconductors and display manufacturing ecosystem in India.
Setting up of India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) to drive this sector, the Aatmanirbhar Bharat campaign is gaining momentum by incentivising and approving the manufacturing of Semi-conductor fabs and display fabs in India. This shall pave the way for India’s technological leadership in these areas of strategic importance and economic self-reliance
In total, Government of India has committed support of Rs. 2,30,000 crore (USD 30 billion) to position India as global hub for electronics manufacturing with semiconductors as the foundational building block
Times have changed; and the tables are turning. India is on its way to become one of the BIGGEST employers to Engineers across the world. We already have the benefit of being the youngest talent pool at global level, now it’s our time to shine!
As I always keep saying, The Pandemic was a silent Industrial Revolution that very few noticed; the skilled workforce demand has quadrupled since the past 2 years. Although the question remains- “Are we skilled enough for Campus Placements?” ?????

2 年Yes Aditya Mhatre, You are right... Now there is major shift happening in global level, And there is called power shift happening, But the question you keep unanswered is major one, Are we skilled enough? Being engineer and working in one of the engineering institute I am still worried for the same, Some day before I wrote on Rajan Singh post about #individual_why and our whole education system missing that. In this pandemic I noticed both type of students one who be idle and waiting for right opportunity and other took the command and create opportunity... I didn't want to make comment long, But there is much we need to do, to grab this opportunity You can read that post here https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/vivek-darwai-267b9660_yesterday-when-i-heard-that-17-kids-got-activity-6830405412764819456-cR7l
