THE END OF A CHAPTER

Dear friends and colleagues. Today is my last day with Ymor Nordic. It has been a truly exciting, fun, nerve-racking, adventurous and rewarding time.

 In early 2015, I decided to join the former Avenida as CEO and majority shareholder together with my friend and business partner Peter Laursen. The company was at that time a very small company with only three employees who were all very dedicated towards the niche discipline of Application Performance Management. We all had strong believes, that we were positioned in a market, that would soon go through a massive growth and maturation and if we worked hard, sticked to our strategy and kept delivering state of the art service and value for our customers, we would be rewarded. That analysis proved to be right. In late 2017 as Avenida had grown to a very profitable software and consultancy company serving some of the largest private and public customers in the Nordic, Avenida was acquired by Dutch Ymor and financially backed by the private equity fund Main Capital.

 I decided at that point to reinvest the majority of my proceeds, and continued as shareholder and Managing Director for the Nordic operations of Ymor Group. I had the pleasure of becoming part of a company with some of the most dedicated, hardworking people that I have ever met. The Dutch “Ymorians” gave us exactly what we needed to continue the growth of the company in the Nordics.

 In late 2019 after a continued growth journey, Ymor Group was acquired by Sentia backed by the Private Equity fund Waterland. During this acquisition I have decided not to continue in the company. I truly believe, that Ymor and Sentia is close to a perfect match, and that the maturity and market coverage of Sentia will help Ymor grow even further together with Sentia. However, the time for me has come to look for new challenges and adventures. I would therefore like to thank all colleagues – Danish and Dutch -, customers and partners for support, trust, hard work and good fun.

 I will now take at least a few month to relax with my family – we are all locked down anyway – before I decide what the next chapter should be, but I am convinced, that we will meet again ??
